Asara drills further south at Massan and strikes gold

Asara Resources (ASX:AS1) has reported gold intercepts from an expanded drilling program south of the Massan deposit at its flagship Kada Gold Project in eastern Guinea.

The company completed 57 drill holes across 7,146m using reverse circulation (RC), diamond drilling, and aircore methods across the southern fence lines.

Standout results from RC drilling include 47m @ 8.00 grams per tonne gold (Au) from 47m, including 8m @ 42.20g/t Au; 66m @ 0.70g/t Au from 66m, including 3m @ 3.80g/t Au; and 19m @ 2.10g/t Au from 19m, including 6m @ 3.70g/t Au.

Notably, drill hole MSRC26-167 returned two consecutive 1m intervals grading over 130g/t Au.

Managing Director Matthew Sharples says the initial results have exceeded expectations.

“The initial results … [deliver] broad zones of mineralisation together with exceptional high-grade gold intercepts and [confirm] the prospectivity of an area that has seen very limited historical drilling,” Sharples says.

“Importantly, these results continue to demonstrate that mineralisation extends well beyond the current centre of the deposit and reinforces our confidence in the resource growth potential at Massan.”

Drilling activities remain ongoing across the deposit, with five operational rigs ahead of an internal cutoff date for inclusion in an updated August 2026 mineral resource estimate (MRE) for Kada.

The project currently holds an indicated and inferred MRE of 30.3 million tonnes @ 1.00g/t Au for 923,000oz.

Asara holds a 51% interest in the Kada Project and has exercised its right to earn up to 75% by funding a Definitive Feasibility Study.

Asara Resources is an explorer with a portfolio of advanced minerals projects in Guinea and Chile.
