Aruma Resources (ASX:AAJ) is planning a reverse circulation drilling program at its wholly owned Salmon Gums Gold Project in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, following the completion of aircore drilling.
Spanning a total of 1,338m, the recent program consisted of 64 drillholes at the Sage, Poppy, and Rose prospects.
Drilling at the Sage prospect saw 41 drillholes totalling 832m, while Poppy saw 17 drillholes for 446m and six drillholes for 60m were completed at Rose.
Beginning the program in April, Aruma has now submitted samples for gold and multi-element analysis and is awaiting results, to be released when available.
The aim of recent drilling at Salmon Gums was to interpret structural and stratigraphic targets, as well as test the gold anomaly identified in previous sampling and drilling. Aruma’s technical team, Model Earth Global Geological Services, generated these targets through a project-scale review.
By improving the understanding of geological conditions and providing geochemical pathfinder data, the company will use this data to identify key targets for a future reverse circulation drilling program.
The company recently raised $900,000 to advance drilling and fieldwork programs for this project, while also strengthening its overall cash position, as reported by Mining.com.au.
Located 30km along strike and south of Norseman, Aruma believes the Salmon Gums Gold Project to be “highly prospective” following previous results including 5.9m @ 10.5 grams per tonne gold from 38.4m.
Aruma Resources is an exploration company focused on the development of its portfolio of projects in copper and uranium across South Australia, Queensland, and Western Australia
