Aruma readies Fiery Creek for drilling

Aruma Resources (ASX:AAJ) has announced that it will begin a maiden drill program at the Piper prospect within a greater exploration of the Fiery Creek Copper Project as a follow up on the discoveries made in the most recent geophysical survey.

The company is scheduled to begin reverse circulation drilling in July after the completion of a heritage survey and finalising landowner consent, spanning 1,400m for nine holes to test a north to south trending gravity feature and two induced polarisation conductors.

These features are coincident with rock chip sampling conducted in September, which returned up to 11.83% copper, 10,883 parts per million antimony, and 31.3 grams per tonne silver, as reported by Mining.com.au.

Managing Director Grant Ferguson says that each field work program and assessment of historical data instills confidence in the company for copper potential at Fiery Creek.

“Our work at the project to date has given us strong confidence to initiate drilling at the Piper Prospect, with coincident geophysical survey results and exploration results identifying Piper as a priority drill target,” Ferguson says.

Over at the Salmon Gums Gold Project, Aruma has identified three new geochemical anomalies after the completion of its recent aircore drilling program, which covered 64 drillholes across 1,347m.

The Poppy prospect returned values including 1m @ 0.25g/t gold from 27m and 3m @ 0.17g/t gold from 14m at drillhole SG25AC041.

Aruma intends to delineate the width and strike extent of identified gold zones with a follow up phase of drilling shortly.

Aruma Resources is a mineral explorer focused on the development of its portfolio of gold and lithium projects in Western Australia.
