Aruma Resources (ASX:AAJ) has begun a nine hole reverse circulation drilling program at the Fiery Creek Copper Project in the Mt Isa copper belt in northern Queensland.
Drilling is targeting copper-silver-antimony mineralisation at the Piper prospect, as part of Aruma’s systematic approach to discover new copper-silver-antimony deposits at the project.
The program is designed to test two induced polarisation (IP) conductors uncovered in a previously reported geophysical survey program, as well as a prominent north-south gravity feature that was also identified in the program.
Managing Director Grant Ferguson says this program represents a step forward in evaluating the mineral potential of the underexplored region.
“With the program now underway, we are eager to assess the results to validate our exploration model and potentially delineate new copper-silver-antimony discoveries within the Fiery Creek Project’s exploration tenure,” Ferguson says.
The Piper prospect is located in the north-west of the Fiery Creek Project area and is interpreted as being prospective for copper, gold, antimony, and silver.
