Arizona Gold & Silver (TSX-V:AZS) is advancing drillhole PC25-156 as part of the target zone within the Philadelphia Project in the US, with the company indicating it is poised to test an “exciting” interpretation.
Vice President of Exploration Greg Hahn says the company believes the Philadelphia vein system has potential to rapidly open up into high-grade zones capable of delivering substantially increased grades.
“If the system continues to behave as expected, we could be on the cusp of unlocking a major high-grade gold discovery,” Hahn says.
Hole PC25-156 is currently in progress at 265.85m, within 60.98m of the top of the targeted vein.
CEO Mike Stark says the results from this drillhole will be instrumental in guiding the next phase of drilling.
“It will likely focus on strike in both directions which will expand the current mineralised footprint,” Stark says.

“Encouragingly, our geological model is showing strong validation. We have shallow intercepts on this vein system over a strike length of 1km, and by continuing to drill at depth along strike, we can begin to more accurately assess the size potential of this zone.”
This news comes after Arizona Gold & Silver received further results from the ongoing drilling program, with hole PC25-155 showing continuity of vein thickness and an increase in grade as drilling progresses down dip on the vein.
The highlighted results include 14.5 grams per tonne gold over 1.52m, within 4.24g/t gold over 22.26m.
Hahn adds that the evolving vein textures are classic markers of a “high-grade” epithermal system and indicates that the company is approaching the heart of the boiling zone, where grades spike.
“These textures are similar to those seen in the historical Oatman Gold Mining District, just 10 miles south, which produced over two million ounces of gold from similar high-grade veins,” he says.
As previously reported, the ongoing drilling program aims to build bulk tonnage and low-grade resources at grades above 0.5g/t gold at Philadelphia.
