Arizona Gold & Silver (TSX-V:AZS) has drilled a vein intercept coinciding with zones of yellow quartz within an epithermal quartz and bladed calcite-bearing vein system at the Philadelphia Project in the US.
Drillhole PC25-154 intersected 22.47m @ 3.05 grams per tonne gold, including 11.5g/t gold across 1.59m and 6.41g/t gold across 3.69m. The results continue to indicate that the mineralisation in the system is getting “stronger” with depth.
The news comes as the gold price continues to rise toward US$3,340 ($5,119) per ounce following a two-day decline. Trading Economics says this rise in price comes as investors assessed a pick-up in US inflation and ongoing trade developments.
Since the beginning of 2025, gold has chartered an impressive course, rising 23.27% and smashing through 28 all-time records in four months, as Mining.com.au reported.
Vice President of Exploration Greg Hahn says the hole shows increasing concentrations of gold and favourable vein textures with depth.
“Yellow quartz is more abundant than what was present in holes updip,” Hahn says.
“In addition, we are now seeing two zones of high-grade rather than just one, another indication that the system is getting stronger with depth. This provides encouragement for core hole PC25-155 currently in progress.
“That hole is approaching with a projection of the top of the vein 60m downdip from PC25-154. Currently, we are within 15m of the top of the target and seeing leakage into the hangingwall volcanics.”
Arizona Gold & Silver is continuing drilling at Philadelphia to test downdip of the Perry vein intercepts. Meanwhile, drilling has been completed on the adjacent Rising Fawn zone, until assays are received.
The Philadelphia Project, located in Mohave County, northwestern Arizona, is a gold and silver vein target that is being advanced in preparation for an initial resource estimate.
Arizona Gold & Silver is a dual-listed junior explorer focused on its precious metals assets in Nevada and Arizona, US.
