Antipa Minerals (ASX:AZY) is gearing up for follow-up drilling at the GEO-01 discovery at its wholly owned Minyari Dome Gold-Copper Project in Western Australia.
The $62 million market capitalisation company is also planning for maiden drilling at 3 high-potential Pacman targets for Q1 2024.
The company released today (6 February 2024) results for the final phase two 2023 diamond core drillholes at Minyari.
Results from the second of the two diamond core holes demonstrate 23m @ 0.8 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 0.02% copper from 109m downhole including 4m @ 2.9g/t gold and 0.05% copper from 121m and 1m @ 2.1g/t gold from 131m.
Meanwhile, results from an initial diamond hole at the Tetris target returned 6.7m @ 0.54% zinc, 0.12% lead, and 1g/t silver from 631.3m downhole including 1.3m @ 1.9% zinc, 0.22% lead, and 3.6g/t silver from 633m.
Expanded regional aircore drilling assays are expected later this month and incorporated into the 2024 drilling programs.
Managing Director Roger Mason says results continue to demonstrate the quality of the GEO-01 discovery as a potential resource opportunity.
“Importantly, multiple zones of gold mineralisation remain open, which we intend to target for strike and depth extensions during our CY2024 drill programs.
At Tetris, we consider the presence of multiple pathfinder metal associations returned encouraging and with just 12% of the 1,200m horizontal magnetic anomaly footprint traversed in this first round of drilling, there remains further potential within the boundary of this large anomaly.
We’ve hit the ground running to start the year and there is a significant amount of activity ongoing as we complete planning for our upcoming programs.”
Antipa Minerals is a mineral explorer focused on discovering ‘world-class’ gold-copper deposits in the ‘highly prospective’ Paterson Province in Western Australia.
The company’s granted tenement holding covers over 5,100km-square in a region home to Newmont’s (ASX:NEM) ‘world-class’ Telfer mine and Rio Tinto’s (ASX:RIO) Winu discovery.
As of 30 December 2023, Antipa Minerals had $6.320 million cash and cash equivalents at hand, according to its latest quarterly report.
