Antipa conducting PFS after new Minyari discovery

Antipa Minerals (ASX:AZY) has received approval to conduct a Prefeasibility Study (PFS) for the Minyari Gold-Copper Project in Western Australia, amid unveiling a new discovery via its phase one drilling program.

Various PFS technical and non-technical workstreams have been advanced to further de-risk and refine the development opportunity at Minyari Dome while advancing the permitting process.

Antipa, which has a market capitalisation of $394 million, has also begun a resource definition program and is currently using two diamond core rigs and one reverse circulation rig at the project.

Once all these phase one drill results have been received, an updated resource estimate will be completed in Q3 2025.

This news comes after Antipa completed a phase one drilling program aimed to grow the existing mineral resource at Minyari Dome and test greenfield targets to deliver new discoveries.

Antipa says the results confirm a new gold-copper discovery south of the Fiama and Rizzo target and deliver extensions to known mineralisation at the GEO-01 deposit main zone, particularly at depth.

Some of the results include 21m @ 1.8 grams per tonne gold and 0.06% copper from 44m, including 4m @ 8.6g/t gold and 0.02% copper, and 41m @ 0.16g/t gold and 0.15% copper from 4m.

Managing Director Roger Mason says the latest results expand known mineralisation at multiple Minyari Dome deposits while uncovering several new discoveries.

“In particular, the newly defined gold-copper zone south of Fiama and Rizzo represents a step-change for the broader Minyari Gold-Copper Project, while the extensions to GEO-01 and Minella reinforce our confidence in the scalability of the existing resource,” Mason says.

“With drilling ongoing, and only 30% of assays returned so far, we are very encouraged by the early outcomes of our largest ever program. In parallel, our PFS workstreams continue to advance, positioning Minyari Dome as a standout development opportunity in the Paterson Province.”

The company notes recruitment activities are ongoing to expand its in-house board, technical and study capabilities in alignment with its project advancement plans.

The Minyari Project, covering 4,100km2, features the Minyari Dome geological structure which hosts multiple delineated deposits. The project has a combined resource of 2.5 million ounces of gold, 84,000 tonnes of copper, 666,000 ounces of silver, and 13,000 tonnes of cobalt.

Antipa Minerals is an Australian mineral explorer and developer focused on its project portfolio located in the Paterson Province of Western Australia.

The company will be attending the Noosa Mining Investor Conference, held between 23-25 July, at the Peppers Noosa Resort. Mining.com.au is an official media partner of this year’s conference.
