Antipa Minerals (ASX:AZY) has started a ‘major’ 41,000m drilling campaign across the Minyari Project in the Paterson province of Western Australia to expand the area’s gold resource.
The company will drill 321 holes across its greater 4,500km2 landholding to uncover new discoveries and expand the current 2.9 million ounce gold resource base across existing deposit areas.
Antipa will incorporate aircore, reverse circulation (RC), and diamond drilling methods in this campaign, targeting greenfield targets for copper and gold.
Drilling is expected to be completed in early H2 2026 with assays to be released in batches throughout the campaign.
Discovery drilling will include 258 holes for 26,540m, comprising 205 aircore holes, 51 RC holes, and two diamond holes, while deposit growth drilling will cover 63 holes for 14,200m, including 61 RC holes and two diamond holes.
Managing Director Roger Mason says a large portion of the drilling campaign is directed towards delivering new discoveries across the company’s landholding.
“We are confident that the scale and quality of our tenure provide a genuine opportunity to build a pipeline of additional deposits proximate to our stand-alone development opportunity,” Mason says.
“Importantly, our strong cash position allows us to complete this program while continuing to advance parallel technical workstreams aimed at derisking our development opportunity.
“Drilling is currently expected to run for up to four months and will be fully funded from our existing cash balance.”
