Andean boosts global visibility with addition to GDXJ

Andean Silver (ASX:ASL) has been added to the VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF, also known as the GDXJ, a globally-recognised exchange traded fund (ETF) tracking the performance of small and mid-cap gold and silver companies.

Chief Executive Matthew Allen says that the company is pleased to be included in this index.

“This will ensure we continue to build market visibility and trading liquidity in Andean shares on global equity markets,” Allen says.

“This inclusion reflects the excellent work done by the Andean team at our flagship Cerro-Bayo silver-gold project, including the successful delivery of our exploration program and resource growth since completion of the acquisition only two years ago.”

The company notes that inclusion in VanEck’s ETF can increase Andean’s share liquidity and position the company as an investment opportunity for investors looking to diversify their exposure across precious metals projects globally.

The GDXJ is one of the largest precious metals ETFs focused on the junior sector, with approximately US$9.7 billion in total net assets.

Andean Silver is an Australian exploration and development company focused on the wholly owned Cerro Bayo Silver-Gold Project in Southern Chile.
