American Uranium (ASX:AMU) is streamlining a drilling campaign at the Lo Herma ISR Uranium Project in Wyoming, US, ahead of a Scoping Study expected in Q2 2026.
The company has mobilised a rig to start operations later this week, beginning with a resource expansion program to upgrade the project’s resource.
American Uranium intends to conduct a Scoping Study following phase two infill drilling, which is currently scheduled to commence in Q1 2026.
Permits, bonds, and site access required for this campaign have all been secured, with the drilling permit offering up to 37,500m of drilling for 121 holes.
CEO Bruce Lane says the company is in a “strong position” to deliver a resource upgrade in early 2026.
“This program marks an important step towards advancing one of America’s most promising near-term, low-cost ISR uranium projects,” Lane says.
“Lo Herma is one of the few near-term, low-cost ISR projects in the US and the drilling campaign will target both growth in the current 8.57 million pound resource base and increased confidence in mineral resources.”
As reported by Mining.com.au, the company recently listed on the OTCID Basic Market to cross-trade into the North American market, using the ticker code ‘AMUIF’.
Formerly known as GTI Energy, American Uranium is focused on generating clean fuel streams to reduce the global output of greenhouse gas emissions.
