American Salars Lithium (CSE:USLI) has named Dr Mark King as its new Technical Advisor.
With more than 30 years of experience in groundwater modeling and geochemistry, King is a hydrogeologist, with the past 15 years spent specialising in lithium exploration and evaluation.
American Salars says his background in chemistry and numerical modeling projects, along with resource and reserve estimation experience on major brine projects, has set a foundation for brine exploration and quantitative evaluation.
Prior to his appointment at American Salars, King served as a resource and reserve estimation qualified person across multiple projects including for Albermarle at Salar Atacama in Chile, Neo Lithium at the 3Q Salar in Argentina, and Vulcan Energy in the Rhine Valley in Germany.
Alongside his team in South America and the US, King has conducted detailed due diligence reviews for more than 20 advanced brine projects, and reconnaissance reviews of more than 100 greenfield to early-stage projects.
CEO Nick Horsley says by expanding the technical team, the company aims to deepen its search for “significant” lithium salar projects.
“Mark is a globally recognised authority whose work has taken him to lithium brine projects throughout North and South America, and beyond,” Horsley says.
American Salars is a lithium explorer focused on developing “high-value” battery metals for the electric vehicle industry.
