American Pacific mobilises drills for 15,000m Montana program

American Pacific Mining (CSE:USGD) has mobilised the first of two drill rigs ahead of a 15,000m drilling program at its Madison Copper-Gold Project in Montana, with the second drill arriving in the coming weeks.

As previously reported by Mining.com.au, the company has secured drilling contracts with O’Keefe Drilling (reverse circulation) and Nasco Industrial Services (diamond drilling) for the 15,000m program.

The program will target near-surface skarn and deeper porphyry targets for 10,000m and 5,000m, respectively.

American Pacific Mining says the campaign will focus on five of the highest-priority targets representing the most informed drill targets ever defined at the project.

Diamond drilling will focus on deeper porphyry targets, with reverse circulation drilling used primarily for rapid, cost-effective testing of near-surface targets.

“We are excited to be systematically testing the most compelling skarn and porphyry targets we have ever defined on the project,” CEO Warwick Smith says.

Drilling at Madison is expected to commence in the coming days, with initial assay results anticipated this summer.

American Pacific is a precious and base metals explorer and developer focused on opportunities in the Western US.
