American Pacific Mining (CSE:USGD) has secured drilling contracts with two contractors to complete phase one drilling program at the Madison Copper-Gold Project in Montana this month.
The 15,000m program will comprise a combination of reverse circulation and diamond drilling. O’Keefe Drilling will be conducting the reverse circulation portion of the program, while Nasco Industrial Services and Supply will undertake the diamond drilling portion.
American Pacific says the upcoming campaign is the largest coordinated drill program it has initiated at Madison and is designed to systematically extend and expand on shallower high-grade copper and gold mineralisation, as well as test deeper porphyry discovery targets.
The program will test up to eight of the highest priority skarn and porphyry targets that represent the most informed drill targets ever defined at the project.
Initial results are expected later this summer period.
CEO Warwick Smith says the team is eager to begin validating the geological picture it sees in the modelling.
“These targets are the product of extensive data compilation, careful interpretation of both historical and more recent work and 3D modelling,” Smith says.
American Pacific Mining is a precious and base metals explorer focused on opportunities in the Western US.
