American Eagle spreads its copper wings further for Faraday

Faraday Copper (TSX:FDY) is continuing to expand the near-surface mineralisation at the American Eagle area within the Copper Creek Project in Arizona, US.

This news comes after the company received results from six drillholes from an ongoing drilling program at Copper Creek, which is focused on near-surface mineralisation particularly at American Eagle.

Drillhole FCD-24-091 intersected 304.4m @ 0.35% copper and 0.87 grams per tonne silver from 170.09m, including 47.95m @ 0.74% copper and 1.15g/t silver from 180.42m.

The company notes the mineralisation in this drillhole contains porphyry-style veins, as well as in breccia.

CEO Paul Harbidge says seeing high-grade breccia and broad zones of porphyry-style mineralisation supports the potential for maintaining a low-strip ratio.

“These include the first results from the Jailhouse breccia, which are starting to fill the gap between Mammoth and the American Eagle area,” Harbidge says.

“Currently, Mammoth represents the largest portion of the open pit resource and the American Eagle area is demonstrating a similar potential.”

As the company continues to receive drilling results, Faraday expects a data cut-off later this quarter. A technical study will also be released in the second half of this year.

To date, Faraday has conducted over 30,000m of incremental drilling outside the current resource, with new targets representing an opportunity to enhance the project’s value.

Additionally, a metallurgical program testing copper recoveries from near-surface breccia and porphyry-style vein material is nearing completion. Samples were taken in the American Eagle area, including the Banjo breccia, as well as Area 51 and Old Reliable.

The program is focused on confirming the potential to increase mill throughput and reduce processing cost through coarse particle flotation.

Faraday Copper is a Canadian explorer focused on advancing the Copper Creek Project, which is considered among the largest undeveloped copper projects in North America.

The company will be exhibiting at this year’s Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) event being held from 2-5 March in Toronto, Canada.

The annual award winning convention brings together up to 30,000 attendees from over 130 countries for its educational programming, networking events, as well as business and investment opportunities.
