Alma Metals (ASX:ALM) is looking to complete a Prefeasibility Study (PFS) in 2026, following on from the completion of its 2025 drilling campaign at the Briggs Copper Project in Central Queensland.
The company recently completed hole 25BRD0038 which was drilled to a depth of 392.7m, marking the conclusion of exploration this year.
The company intends to further test copper anomalism in soil to the northwest of the 2025 drilling campaign, which will direct the PFS next year.
Geological logging at the hole has identified zones of “strong” visual copper mineralisation, confirming the current geological model and providing confidence in the system’s scale and continuity.
This hole was drilled 80m along strike from hole 25BRD0037, which returned copper mineralisation.
Managing Director Frazer Tabeart describes this year’s exploration campaign as a “great success” due to the program’s capability in delivering long intervals of copper mineralisation.
“The initial assays received for the upper part of hole 25BRD0037 support what we’ve seen in the core, and we are particularly encouraged that the visually better part of this hole and all assays from 25BRD0038 are still to come,” Tabeart says.
“With assays expected early in the new year, we look forward to building on this momentum as we move into a significant year of drilling and PFS advancement during 2026.”
