ABx Group (ASX:ABX) will be outlining the opportunities around its rare earths and fluorine waste recycling at this week’s Noosa Mining Investor Conference in Queensland, which starts on Wednesday 17 July.
Speaking to this news service, CEO Dr Mark Cooksey says the company’s presentation, which will be on Wednesday at 4pm AEST, will focus on the “compelling” opportunities in the pipeline.
“I am presenting at the conference to promote ABx to investors that may not have been previously aware of ABx, be available to speak with existing shareholders and potential investors, and engage with the wider resources community, such as peer companies, suppliers, brokers,” he says.
ABx, which has a market capitalisation of $12.75 million, is focused on creating an ionic absorption clay rare earth project in northern Tasmania and establishing a plant to produce hydrogen fluoride and aluminium fluoride from recycled industrial waste through its 83%-owned subsidiary ALCORE.
Cooksey says investors should keep an eye out for news around exploration and metallurgical work on its rare earths project, which includes the Wind Breek, Deep Leads, and Rubble Mounds projects.
He adds investors should also look out for the results of pilot plant work on its fluorine recycling project.
On 4 June, the company achieved a 93% fluorine recovery from smelter bath waste via its latest round of testwork. ABx says this high recovery is considered a “significant breakthrough” and gives the company confidence it can operate at scale.
ABx has also now completed its latest drilling campaign at the Deep Leads Project, comprising 37 holes.
The company says the campaign explored an area directly northwest of the Deep Leads discovery. To date, the area has remained untested and the company interprets that its location is “highly prospective” for further rare earths discoveries.
The junior explorer notes 316 samples have been collected and dispatched to a laboratory for assaying. The results are expected to be received by mid-August.
