Western Star Resources (CSE:WSR) has engaged KC Harvey Environmental to lead drill permitting activities at the Rowland Tungsten Project in Nevada.
KC Harvey is a Bozeman, Montana-based environmental consultancy specialising in mining permitting, reclamation, and NEPA support across the western US. The firm’s scope of work involves preparing a plan of operations, supporting environmental baseline and reclamation planning, and coordinating the NEPA review process with the US Forest Service.
Western Star plans to advance the application in parallel with state-level reclamation permitting and the ongoing phase one and two exploration programs.
The company will further update the market upon submitting a plan of operations and as the permitting review progresses.
Permitting work is advancing in parallel with ongoing phase one exploration activities at Rowland, with the aim of positioning the project for drill testing of the three confirmed zones of historical tungsten workings.
Extensive historical workings have been documented at the project and are expected to support Western Star’s case that the project area is previously disturbed, as reported.
CEO Blake Morgan says engaging with KC Harvey and opening dialogue with the Jarbidge District Ranger is the “logical next step” for the project.
“With phase one fieldwork confirming a materially larger exploration opportunity than the historical record suggested, our priority is to advance permitting in parallel with exploration so we are positioned to drill test the Rowland targets without delay,” Morgan says.
Western Star Resources is a mineral explorer and developer that owns nine non-surveyed contiguous mineral claims totalling 4,740 hectares located in British Columbia, Canada.
