Western Ridge returns ‘outstanding’ silver grades

Western Ridge Resources (ASX:WRX) has reported rock chip sampling results from its Keystone Project in Nevada, US, with silver grades reaching 941 grams per tonne silver (Ag) and gold grades up to 44.4g/t gold (Au).

The sampling program validates geophysical targets identified earlier this year and indicates ‘high-grade’ mineralisation extends beyond historical mine workings. Results include silver grades of 941g/t, 344g/t, and 80.3g/t from various locations across the project.

“These results confirm that the Keystone Project hosts a mineralised system extending beyond the historical mine workings. Sampling from underground workings 500m northwest of the Keystone Mine returned excellent results from a shallowly dipping vein in an orientation parallel to that of the mine’s main lode, with evidence in the walls of the accessible adit indicating the structure may continue at depth,” Managing Director Matthew Cobb says.

The company collected 10 representative rock chip samples from underground adits, drill pad cuttings, and historic dump material. Two samples of altered wall rock proximal to mineralised veins yielded anomalous silver values of 2.86g/t and 1.21g/t respectively.

Sampling also identified numerous stringer veins occurring peripheral to the main lode vein at the Keystone Mine. Western Ridge says the veins form a mineralised halo around the main lode and were identified in drill pad faces prepared for the upcoming drilling campaign.

One 3.3kg sample from a 20cm thick stringer vein returned 344g/t Ag and 0.53g/t Au.

“High-grade silver results from stringer veins in the faces of drill pad cuttings demonstrate a peripheral ‘halo’ persisting into the wallrock adjacent to the Keystone Mine’s main lode, expanding the mineralised envelope beyond the narrow high-grade lode vein,” Cobb says.

In the Marble Rock area, a grab sample from mullock dump material adjacent to a historic underground adit returned 4.1g/t Au from a 3.5kg sample. The company says this supports targets identified in previous airborne geophysical survey data.

Following recent expansion of the Keystone claim holding, sampling at workings west of the original project extent yielded 80.3g/t Ag and 44.4g/t Au from a 2.4kg sample. The company notes this shaft is one of several historic workings within a 1km radius across the expanded claim area.

The Keystone Project is located within Nevada’s Pershing Trend and hosts numerous historical workings associated with tungsten, silver, and gold mineralisation. No modern drilling has been completed at the project for more than 80 years.

Western Ridge plans to commence drilling in September 2026 to test the strike extent, depth, and widths of mineralisation at the main Keystone workings.
