Argent Minerals (ASX:ARD) has observed visible gold through diamond drilling at the Kempfield Polymetallic Project in New South Wales.
The gold occurs as coarse, free particles associated with carbonate veining, strengthening the deposit’s gold component and reinforcing its polymetallic potential.
At the nearby Trunkey Creek Gold Project, 9km from Kempfield, visible gold was also identified in quartz vein material from the project’s historical mullock dumps.
Managing Director Pedro Kastellorizos says that the identification of visible gold supports the presence of ‘high-grade’ shoots at Kempfield.
“Coarse, free gold associated with carbonate veining strengthens the gold component of the deposit and reinforces the multi-metal potential of the mineral resource,” Kastellorizos says.
“At Trunkey Creek, visible gold further validates our interpretation of a large-scale orogenic gold system extending over 4.7km. The continuity of quartz reef mineralisation along the defined corridor and favourable structural setting reinforce the project’s scale potential.
“Our immediate focus is to systematically drill test priority structural corridors at Trunkey Creek while continuing to advance high-grade targets within Kempfield. Together, these projects underpin our strategy to establish a scalable, multi-deposit precious metals hub in New South Wales.”
