Mining.com.au’s Oriel Morrison speaks with Blake Morgan, CEO and President of Opawica Explorations (TSXV:OPW). Morgan shares an insightful update on the company’s flagship Bazooka and Arrowhead properties, located in the prolific Abitibi Greenstone Belt – one of the most mineral-rich gold regions globally.
The conversation centres on a series of recent, highly encouraging drill results that hint at the significant scale and grade potential of the project.
With intercepts including 42m grading up to 190g/t and a 76m zone showing visible gold, the Bazooka property is delivering highly encouraging early results. Morgan explains how XRF scanning is being used to rapidly assess mineralisation across drill cores, and why these findings suggest a broader, high-grade system still largely unexplored. With only 10% of the 7km Cadillac-Larder fault zone investigated so far, there’s strong anticipation for further assays due back by month-end.
