Production ramp up activities at Vertex Minerals’ (ASX:VTX) Reward Gold Mine are currently experiencing delays as stripping, rehabilitation work, and deliveries continue to extend the predicted timeline.
Vertex has installed a new Aramine 350D loader, though communication between the loader and tele remote hut is not expected to be active until 20 November.
Stope ore has been blasted at the mine but will not be extracted until the tele remote loader is commissioned.
Vertex is focused on mitigating these delays by mobilising a second jumbo for additional resource needed for rehabilitation, implementing the 1670 airleg stope outside the resource area, purchasing additional scrapers, and bringing forward the 1438 stope.
The company also intends to streamline jumbo development activities at the Amalgamated and Star of Peace 2 veins, which both sit outside the resource area.
Chairman Roger Jackson says the company has been sure to employ an experienced mining team that is motivated to return results safely.
“We are moving the Reward Mine forward to high grade gold production, but we must do this with a 100% commitment to best practice mining, safety of our people is paramount,” Jackson says.
Vertex achieved $197,000 in gold sales from development and production ore last week, as the company ramps up production.
ABC Bullion marks the price of gold at US$4,131 per ounce as of 12 November 2025.
The precious metal hit its three-week high yesterday (11 November) following economic uncertainty in the US. The price of the metal has increased by 58.79% over the past year, according to Trading Economics.
Vertex Minerals will be attending this week’s Noosa Mining Investor Conference, held between 12-14 November 2025, at the Peppers Noosa Resort. Mining.com.au is a media partner for this year’s event.
