Vertex reaps similar exploration Reward

Vertex Minerals (ASX:VTX) has received an exploration licence for the Dun Dun prospect, adjoining the Hill End and Hargraves licences in central west New South Wales.

The new licence provides the company with access to an additional 50km of contiguous geology along the Hill End – Hargraves trend.

Executive Director Tully Richards explains that the Dun Dun prospect adds value to the company’s future gold inventory, as well as the already producing Reward Gold Mine.

Mineralisation hosts similarities to the Reward Gold Mine for its laminated quartz veins within turbiditic greywacke and slates.

“The Dun Dun workings are a very good analogy to veins currently being mined by Vertex further to the south and make an important addition to the company’s future exploration targets and resource development opportunities,” Richards says.

Key features of the prospect include the Dun Dun vein, which reaches a depth of 106.7m, extending more than 1km with a 20-30cm thickness from several shafts, and the Longmore-Reward vein, which runs in parallel and is gold-bearing across a 7.5-10cm width.

Meanwhile at the Reward Gold Mine, the company has transitioned operations to solely conduct underground mining.

As reported by Mining.com.au, Vertex is developing multiple mining fronts for around 400m of strike to achieve continuous feed to the plant.

Vertex Minerals is an explorer focused on discovering, developing, and producing gold projects in New South Wales and Western Australia.
