Vertex Minerals (ASX:VTX) has been awarded exploration licence 9868 Dun Dun within the Hill End Project in New South Wales.
The licence covers ground from the Hill End licence through to the Hargraves licence for around 50km of contiguous geology along the trend.
Dun Dun hosts five gold bearing quartz veins, including the Northeast, Longmore or Reward East Immediate, Dun Dun or Craigend Main, West Immediate, and Southwest veins.
The company says gold mineralisation is hosted in laminated quartz veins at the Dun Dun licence, which is considered similar to the Reward Gold Mine.
Executive Director Tully Richards says the licence is an “important addition” to Vertex’s future exploration and resource development focuses.
“The Dun Dun workings are a very good analogy to veins currently being mined by Vertex further to the south,” Richards says.
Vertex Minerals is a gold exploration company focused on discovery and development of the next generation of multi-million ounce gold deposits in New South Wales.
