Venture Minerals seeing stars over Jupiter’s ‘high-grade’ zones

Venture Minerals (ASX:VMS) is launching a new drilling program targeting “high-grade” zones within the Jupiter Rare Earth Discovery in Western Australia

The new program follows recent modelling of zones in the northern and central zones of Jupiter’s system.

Drilling will focus on further defining these zones, which often exceeds more than 3,000 parts per million (ppm) total rare earth oxide (TREO). An initial focus will be the northern margin zone, where recent results show intersections between the 5,000 to 10,000ppm TREO range.

Venture Minerals, which has a market capitalisation of $46.34 million, says the program will comprise 10,000 to 15,000m of aircore drilling.

Managing Director Philippa Leggat says following a plethora of drilling results, the company is  focusing on further defining the zones identified within the system.

“The completed resource drilling has provided us with valuable data for our maiden resource estimate and highlighted sizable zones of high-grade mineralisation,” Leggat says.

“Our new drilling program will be focused on these priority targets, as well as testing some of the regional targets in the broader Brothers Project surrounding Jupiter.”

In conjunction with drilling, Venture Minerals continues to work towards delivering a maiden resource estimate and finalising a comprehensive metallurgical program.

The company notes several independent consultants are being vetted in anticipation of their engagement over the coming weeks.

At the Brothers Project, the company has committed to conduct regional drilling, comprising 70 reconnaissance aircore holes. Drilling will test priority geophysical and geological targets within the broader project area.

Venture Minerals says previous drilling focused on satellite rare earths clay targets, intersecting up to 45m @ 1,455ppm TREO including 15m @ 2,105ppm TREO.

The company holds a 1,103km2 tenement package considered prospective for rare earths in Western Australia.

Venture Minerals is focused on developing rare earths and critical minerals to meet global demands for minerals vital to modern technology and the green energy transition.

The company is exhibiting at the Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum, which is being held in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia from 5-7 August.

Mining.com.au will also be attending this year’s forum.
