Vault Strategic Mining (TSX-V:VSM) is gearing up to conduct a high-resolution drone magnetic survey at its War Bond Tungsten Project in Nevada to refine drill targets.
The survey will collect 70 line km of airborne magnetic data across 25m flight lines covering the historic War Bond, Tactite, and Thursday tungsten mines.
The company has appointed Pioneer Exploration Consultants to execute the survey, which will utilise a drone system to identify structural trends and delineate magnetic features associated with tungsten-bearing systems.
Vault’s chief executive Quinn Field-Dyte says War Bond represents a ‘compelling’ historical tungsten project in one of the world’s top mining jurisdictions.
“Our objective is to move aggressively but methodically towards drill-ready targets,” Field-Dyte says.
“This planned drone-mag survey is designed to give us a higher-resolution subsurface data set that can be integrated with mapping, sampling, historical workings, and structural interpretation.
“The goal is clear: delineate priority targets and build a disciplined drill program.”
The War Bond claim package includes 20 unpatented lode mining claims across approximately 162 hectares in the Delaware mining district.
Historical records show tungsten mineralisation occurring as scheelite-bearing tactite, with assays from 1942 and 1943 reporting samples between 0.35% and 14.4% tungsten trioxide (WO3).
Meanwhile, historic production during 1952–1953 recorded grades between 0.3% and 0.45% WO3.
Vault notes that historical information predates national instrument 43-101 standards and will require confirmation drilling alongside updated technical evaluations.
Vault Strategic Mining is a North American resource company focused on the acquisition and advancement of critical mineral projects in top-tier mining jurisdictions.
