Arika Resources (ASX:ARI) has appointed exploration geologist and mining executive Steve Vallance as the company’s technical director.
With over 35 years of experience in exploration and mining, Vallance will continue supporting the company develop and progress exploration programs across its Yundamindra and Kookynie gold projects in Western Australia.
Vallance has provided technical consultancy services to numerous exploration companies, including Arika where he played an integral role in shaping and refining the company’s exploration approach.
Managing Director Justin Barton says Vallance has a strong track record of minerals discovery, delineating and development across a wide range of commodities.
“In the short time Steve has been with Arika, he has already demonstrated the immense value he brings to developing our Yundamindra and Kookynie gold projects,” Barton says.
Arika recently began a 10,000m drilling program at Yundamindra, testing high-priority targets. The program is initially focusing on following up on recent wide intercepts at the Landed at Last and Pennyweight Point prospects.
