Unico records Cerro Leon’s highest silver intercept

Unico Silver (ASX:USL) has returned its highest silver intercept to date at the Marta Norte prospect within the Cerro Leon Project in Argentina, recording up to 1,839 grams per tonne silver.

The Marta Norte results include 36m @ 474g/t silver-equivalent from 1m, including 13m @ 1,096g/t silver-equivalent from 16m.

Results from the Karina prospect included a 26m @ 321g/t silver-equivalent from 81m, including 3m @ 2,002g/t silver-equivalent from 91m.

Managing Director Todd Williams says the results are a clear validation of the corporate growth strategy.

“Phase three drilling has delivered the best oxide silver intercepts to date at Marta Norte and continues to outline a robust, near-surface resource base that supports the PLUS 150 development case,” Williams says.

“At the same time, we’re unlocking deeper sulphide potential at Karina, Savary and Kasia — extending our pipeline of high-grade mineralisation that underpins the BEYOND 300 growth objective.”

The phase three program focused on infill and extension drilling across seven prospects and has returned intercepts in oxide and sulphide zones.

Unico Silver says it remains on track to deliver updated resource estimates for the Cerro Leon and Joaquin projects in Q3 2025.

The Cerro Leon Project has a resource estimate of 91 million ounces silver-equivalent for 16.5 million tonnes @ 172g/t silver-equivalent.
