Tyranna Resources (ASX: TYX) has reported ‘high-grade’ assays from rock-chip samples at the Namibe Lithium Project in Angola.
The results, generated from historic sampling carried out in 2019 and 2021, have displayed LCT-style mineralisation in all pegmatites sampled to date, with significant results including:
- Sample 19b (high purity spodumene): 7.49% Li2O
- Sample 21n: 4.56% Li2O
- Sample 21l: 3.85% Li2O
- Sample 21l: 3.44% Li2O
Addressing the results, Tyranna Resources Director Joe Graziano said: “The initial first pass early-stage results provided by Angolan Minerals Pty Ltd are very encouraging and point to the great potential of the project.

The company also notes that these results reinforce the potential for the discovery of further lithium pegmatites throughout the project tenement.
The Namibe Project is located in Angola, Africa, and is one of three projects that have been sampled as part of a field program conducted by Tyrannus.
The project is host to an abundant amount of pegmatites, however, the nature of the exposure is highly variable, with some of the pegmatites being covered by gravel and rubble derived from eroded outcrops.
With the sampling results finalised and returned, the company reports that it will move forward with the completion of detailed inspections of established best prospects and follow-up investigations of the prospective sites.
