Following final results from a reverse circulation drilling program at the Muvero prospect in Angola, Tyranna Resources (ASX:TYX) is aiming to uncover additional lithium-pegmatite targets.
Mapping and geochemical sampling will be continuing away from the Muvero prospect, and will be completed in conjunction with drilling planned between now and the end of this year.
Diamond drilling will be completed at Muvero, focused on testing the eastern parts of the prospect, including the Muvero Link Zone. The eastern part of the prospect has not been adequately tested, but has “significant” potential.
Tyranna Resources, which has a market capitalisation of $16.43 million, will also conduct drilling at the Calicatas and Loop prospects.
Managing Director David Crook says core drilling is planned to resume later this quarter.
“The drilling rig is currently mobilising to site and will initially target the projected down-plunge position of Muvero prospect mineralisation before commencing testing new targets within the broader project area,” Crook says.
“Lithium mineralisation has been returned from rock chip analyses at seven locations outside of the Muvero prospect, none of which have previously been drilled.”
Meanwhile, reverse circulation assay results include 1m @ 1.17% lithium oxide from 23m. The company says drillhole MRC44A intersected mineralised pegmatite containing lithium, caesium, and tantalum.
Crook says assays from the last drillholes returned modest mineralisation.
Tyranna Resources is a resources explorer focused on lithium discoveries in Angola, Africa. The company aims to discover and develop a lithium source of significance to assist the global adoption of clean energy.
