Trident confirms gold mineralisation at 2026 winter program

Trident Resources (TSX-V:ROCK) has reported assay results from its 2026 winter program, which covered 10,127m across 29 holes targeting the BK3 zone at the Contact Lake target area.

Results were based on seven diamond drill holes completed during the program.

Key intercepts include 3.42m @ 41.46 grams per tonne gold from 207.58m, including 1.73m @ 81.75g/t gold from 208.67m; 16.00m @ 5.43g/t gold from 206.00m, including 6.25m @ 12.70g/t gold from 215.75m; and 9.30m @ 10.05g/t gold from 221.00m, including 0.50m @ 156.50g/t gold from 229.80m.

Trident says all holes intersected gold mineralisation.

CEO Jonathan Wiesblatt says the company is “incredibly pleased” with the results.

“The strength and continuity of the mineralisation we’re seeing confirms our belief that the Contact Lake target area is highly prospective within the project area and within Trident’s entire portfolio,” Wiesblatt says.

Following these results, Trident has commenced a 20,000m summer drilling program to test the Contact Lake deposit at depth and along strike toward the west.

Trident has deployed two drill rigs and drill equipment, with personnel already present at the site.

Located in Saskatchewan, Contact Lake Gold Project covers approximately 22,790 hectares and includes the past-producing Contact Lake gold mine, which produced roughly 190,000 ounces of gold at an average head grade of 6.16g/t gold between 1994 and 1998.

Trident Resources is a mineral exploration company focused on the acquisition and development of advanced-stage gold and copper projects in Saskatchewan, Canada.
