Lycaon Resources (ASX:LYN) has appointed experienced mining executive Tony Rovira as a non-executive Director effective 1 January 2025.
Rovira has more than 40 years of technical and management experience in the mining industry, as an exploration and mining geologist, and as a company executive at board level.
He was most recently the Managing Director of Azure Minerals (ASX:AZS) where he oversaw the discovery of the Andover Lithium Deposit in the Pilbara in joint venture with Mark Creasy, and which ultimately culminated in the $1.7 billion cash takeover of the company by Hancock Prospecting and Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile S.A. (SQM).
For this transaction, Azure and Rovira were awarded the prestigious Dealer of the Year Award at the 2024 Diggers & Dealers Mining Forum.
Lycaon also advises effective 1 January, concurrently with Rovira’s appointment James Robinson has transitioned from his role as a non-executive Director to the Executive Director and Ranko Matic has resigned as a non-executive Director.
