ASX-listed gold (Au) exploration company Tietto Minerals (ASX:TIE) reports it has received further ‘high-grade’ Au intercepts from an infill and depth extension diamond drilling (DD) program at the AG Core, as part of its 3.45Moz Abujar Gold Project in Cote d’Ivoire, West Africa.
The results, generated by 16 DD holes, have returned a standout intercept of 19m at 21.94g/t Au from 270m including 6m at 46.62g/t Au (ZDD1388), which represents the third highest hit at the AG Core and the fourth highest Au intercept for the Abujar project.
It is also reported that these recently returned results are expected to be included in the company’s next Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) update scheduled for early 2023.

Assays for a further 69 drillholes are currently pending, with more than half being reported to be from step-out holes.
The current infill and extension DD program has been designed to increase both the size and confidence of the Au mineral resources.
Commenting on the results, Tietto Minerals’ Managing Director, Dr. Caigen Wang said: “Our exploration team continues to deliver high impact holes from our diamond drilling at AG. The latest ‘high-grade’ intercept of 19m at 21.94g/t Au from 270m (ZDD1388) is the third highest gold intercept hit at AG Core and the fourth highest gold intercept for the Abujar Gold Project.
These drill results demonstrate the potential of the ‘high-grade’ shoots that are prevalent at AG Core to continue to deliver spectacular ‘high-grade’ gold intercepts.
“These drill results demonstrate the potential of the ‘high-grade’ shoots that are prevalent at AG Core to continue to deliver spectacular ‘high-grade’ gold intercepts”
We will incorporate all drilling intercepts reported into the next resource update, expected early in CY23 to allow inclusion of all results from our expanded program.
Shareholders can expect further updates from our aggressive diamond drilling program as we advance our dual strategy of ‘Drill and Build’ and develop our Abujar Project into West Africa’s next gold mine, with first gold by the end of Q4 CY22.”
Tietto Minerals also notes that its 8 drill rigs are still actively drilling and are forecast to complete about 120,000m of core drilling by the end of the year.
In addition, the company reports it has planned and is currently carrying out additional drilling at the AG Core in order to assess the limits of Au mineralisation potential below its planned DFS pit, which remains open at depth.
Tietto Minerals’ Abujar project is located in western Cote d’Ivoire and covers a total land area of 1,114km-square across 3 contiguous tenements, of which less than 10% has been explored. The project currently boasts a MRE of 98.7Mt at 1.1g/t Au for 3.45Moz and has been the site of a Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) for an open-pit 4Mtpa operation.
With drilling still ongoing, Tietto Minerals announces it remains focused on advancing towards its goal of delivering first Au production at Abujar by the end of Q4 2022.
