Junior explorer Terrain Minerals (ASX:TMX) has completed a phase two reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign at its wholly owned Smokebush Project in Western Australia.
About 12 holes were completed for 1,383m of drilling. The company reports 6 holes targeted IP generated anomalies for gold, and all 6 intercepted sulphides spatially related to the modelled geophysics.
Terrain adds that 1 pegmatite hole unexpectedly intersected sulphide in mafic volcanics.
Meanwhile, the other 6 holes targeted mapped pegmatite units for lithium, with 5 holes intercepting zones between 10m and 20m wide. While no visual spodumene was seen in pulverised spoils, Terrain is now awaiting assay results.
The presence of sulphide minerals uncovered during this phase two program, combined with historical drilling results within 50m to 300m of this drilling, is an indication that the Smokebush Project demonstrates the hallmarks of a gold-bearing system, according to the company.

Terrain says the results from the phase two drilling are expected to be received in late August 2023 or early September 2023.
Terrain Minerals is a Western Australia-based minerals exploration company. The company’s Smokebush Project is located 350km from Perth, Western Australia.
