Terra unlocks new mineralised zone at Dante

Terra Metals (ASX:TM1) has reported initial assay results from first-pass drilling at the SW6 target of the Dante Project in Western Australia, noting significant platinum group metal (PGM), copper, and nickel sulphide mineralisation.

The first two drillholes from SW6 intersected multiple intervals of PGM mineralisation. Key highlights include 8m @ 1.35 grams per tonne platinum, palladium, and gold (PGE3), 0.12% copper, 0.18% nickel, and 24.7% magnesium oxide from 142m and 26m @ 1.16g/t PGE3, 0.17% nickel, 0.10% copper, and 25.9% magnesium oxide from 172m.

The company notes that these initial results provide evidence of a highly mineralised magmatic system, and follow-up drilling is being planned with step-out holes designed to intersect the conductor director as well as testing for potential sulfide pooling along the interpreted feeder/conduit trend.

Managing Director Thomas Line says that the current results, considering grade, thickness, and continuity of PGM mineralisation “are exactly what we would expect from a fertile feeder conduit system”.

“SW6 adds another high-value dimension to the Dante Project. Together with the thick Bushveld-style reefs which make up the current 148 million tonnes mineral resource estimate, and the earlier Ti-V-Fe reef discoveries across southwest, these results reinforce our view that Dante is emerging as a large, multi-commodity magmatic system with genuine world-class tier one potential,” Line says.

“This discovery validates our understanding of this complex yet fertile mineral system, and further validates our systematic approach to target generation, target prioritisation, and aggressive target testing. We anticipate the 2025 drill program has potential to yield further new discoveries, and we look forward to receiving and reporting the remaining assays.”

Assay results for the visual observations reported for SW6 are pending and expected to be reported in the next eight weeks.
