Terra Metals (ASX:TM1) has intercepted multiple zones of massive sulfides in its first 2026 diamond hole at the Southwest SW6 prospect within the Dante Project in Western Australia.
The company reports hole SWDD011 successfully targeted the SW6 downhole electromagnetic (DHEM) conductor, located approximately 60m from the zone of massive sulfide at SWDD006 which returned 31.10 grams per tonne platinum group elements (PGE3), 1.31% nickel, and 0.55% copper from 226m.
The newly discovered semi-massive to massive sulfide layers are hosted within a 320m zone of dominantly disseminated to net-textured sulfides, with drilling and logging ongoing.
Managing Director Thomas Line says the visual interception represents a major exploration milestone and validates the company’s geological model.
“The visual interception of multiple zones of massive sulfides in our first 2026 diamond hole at Southwest is a major exploration milestone and a strong validation of our geological model,” Line says.
“Importantly, this hole has successfully targeted the SW6 downhole electromagnetic conductor, located proximal to the exceptional high-grade mineralisation previously intersected in SWDD006.”
The modelled conductor sits approximately 60m off-hole from the zone of massive sulfide at SWDD006, which reported the high-grade intercept within a 200m thick mineralised zone with multiple high-grade zones to end-of-hole.
Line says the result provides compelling evidence that the company is vectoring into a richer massive sulfide component within the broader Southwest magmatic platinum group metals-copper-nickel sulfide system.
“Just as importantly, it confirms DHEM as a highly effective tool for identifying concealed massive sulfide accumulations associated with the feeder pipe, which will play a key role in unlocking further high-grade zones across the system,” Line says.
The company will complete DHEM on SWDD011 and all other Southwest drillholes upon completion, with modelled DHEM conductors to be used in further targeting.
Assays are pending for SWDD011 and expected within eight to 12 weeks.
Terra Metals is focused on the development of the Dante Project, located in the West Musgrave region of Western Australia.
