Tarrina Resources (ASX:TR8) has completed a $5 million after relisting on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) as of this morning (25 November).
Shares were issued at $0.020 each as the company streamlines exploration activities across its gold, copper, silver, and rare earths projects, with an immediate focus on the Christmas Gift Gold project in the Lachlan Ford Belt in New South Wales.
Diamond drilling and soil sampling assays are expected to be returned beginning March 2026, ahead of reverse circulation drilling.
Chairman Francis De Souza describes Christmas Gift to be one of New South Wales “most historically significant high grade gold systems”, encouraging the company to jump straight into exploration with its newly found capital.
Initial field activities include reconnaissance mapping, validation of historical sampling, relogging of historical diamond core, and expansion of soil geochemical coverage.
“Work has begun on relogging more than 2,200m of historical diamond core and expanding geochemical coverage in preparation for a 1,500m diamond drilling program, set to commence once all approvals have been received, expected in early 2026,” De Souza says.
“This work will give us the modern geological data we need to target extensions of the known high grade gold mineralisation with subsequent reverse circulation drilling that will aim to establish a maiden resource.”
“We are also progressing field program at Walparuta and Yongala where there exists potential for a greenfields discovery of copper, gold, and rare earths, similar to the Kalkaroo Copper Project being developed jointly by Havilah Resources (ASX:HAV) and Sandfire Resources (ASX:SFR) 80km to the north of Walparuta.”
Underground mining completed between 1900 and 1941 produced around 30,000 ounces of gold with an average grade of 18 grams per tonne from a strike length of 225m with a depth of 110m.
Historical intersections include 13m @ 13.2g/t gold from 68m; 8m @ 17.23g/t gold from 12m; 9m @ 11.54g/t gold from 46m; 13m @ 6.6g/t gold from 30m; and 4.5m @ 16.53g/t gold from 12m.
Located within the Lachlan Orogen, 15km east of Cootamundra and 180km northwest of Canberra, the Christmas Gift Gold Project spans 22km2 across two exploration licences.
