Tajiri Resources (TSX-V:TAJ) has uncovered potential gold mineralisation of economic value from phase two of trenching at the Yono Project in Guyana.
The company is currently conducting trenching across 2,610m to target auger anomalies, with 1,800m already complete. Tajiri intends to extend the program for an additional 1,500m.
At Yono, Tajiri has identified the North Tweener, Ridgeline Splay, and Eastern Border zones to be prospective for economic gold mineralisation.
Trenching intersections include 20m @ 1.4 grams per tonne gold, 12m @ 2.5g/t gold, 4m @ 1.8g/t, and 4m @ 5.5g/t gold at North Tweener.
Executive Chairman Dominic O’Sullivan says the company’s confidence in the Yono Project, for its prospective gold mineralisation, is continuing to grow from each return of results.
“The project now hosts at least three mineralised structural-stratigraphic corridors totalling approximately 3km of strike length, each returning gold grades in excess of 1g/t,” O’Sullivan says.
“Additional anomalous zones have also been identified that may develop into higher-grade mineralisation along strike or at depth.
“Based on these results, the company is accelerating its exploration programs and is in the process of hiring additional geological staff and mobilising a second excavator to expedite trenching.”
Tajiri Resources is a junior gold explorer focused on developing its assets in Guyana, South America.
