Taiton assigns new board member

Taiton Resources (ASX:T88) has appointed Shane Tomlinson to the company’s board of directors, following his tenure as exploration manager since April 2023.

Tomlinson has now been appointed as Taiton’s Executive Technical Director through an executive service agreement.

He has over 30 years of experience as a geologist, from greenfields exploration through to resource definition, feasibility studies, and mining geology.

Tomlinson has worked on underground and open pit mine operations across Australia and West Africa, holding a Bachelor of Science, majoring in mineral exploration and mining geology, from the Western Australia School of Mines, as well as a Master of Ore Deposit Geology from the University of Western Australia.

He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists.

Meanwhile, Noel Ong has resigned from his position as director at Taiton, effective immediately.

Ong has acted as an Executive Director for Taiton since December 2021, joining the company ahead of its public listing in December 2022.

Taiton has also issued 3.38 million shares from tranche two of its $2 million share placement after obtaining approval from shareholders at a general meeting on 26 November 2025.

The company is yet to issue the remaining 11.68 million shares and options from tranche two, which will be issued in due course.

Taiton announced it had received binding commitments to raise $2 million in early October in order to fund drilling at the Challenger West and Highway projects.

As part of the placement, 33.41 million shares will be issued at a price of $0.06 per share. Holders will be eligible to obtain one free-attaching option per every three shares subscribed in this placement.

The issue price represents a 19.25% discount to the company’s volume weighted average price for 15 days up until 1 October 2025.

Taiton Resources Limited is an early stage explorer and developer with a portfolio of projects across New South Wales and South Australia.
