T2 Metals (TSX-V:TWO) has identified new copper- and antimony-bearing sulphide mineralisation during fieldwork at its Aurora Gold-Silver Project in Yukon, Canada.
Mapping has located semi-massive stibnite mineralisation in outcrop about 300m from the Antimony Mountain prospect. Crews also found semi-massive sulphide mineralisation in rock float 300m northeast of the Rainbow prospect, where chalcopyrite was visually estimated to exceed 15%.
Assay results from both occurrences remain pending. The chalcopyrite estimate is visual and does not represent an assayed Cu grade.
T2 has collected and submitted more than 120 rock samples and 3,000 soil samples from a 10km by 5km area. Geological mapping and rock sampling have focused on priority drill targets where previous exploration identified gold, silver, and copper mineralisation.
An airborne lidar survey has also been completed across the 76km² project at a sampling density of 10 points per square metre. T2 expects the resulting data to assist with structural interpretation, target refinement, and drill access planning.
CEO Mark Saxon says the new occurrences provide targets beyond Aurora’s known gold mineralisation.
“Our extensive early summer exploration program is setting us up strongly for further discoveries at Aurora. The new highly mineralized samples highlight the pedigree of this sparsely tested project and provide additional opportunities beyond the known gold mineralization,” Saxon says.
“Our field teams have moved quickly through mapping and sampling, and we are now turning that surface work into drill-ready targets.”
Drill site preparation is underway for a proposed rotary air blast program scheduled to begin in July or August 2026.
Aurora is centred on the Antimony Mountain stock within Yukon’s Tombstone gold belt. Historical explorers identified eight gold-bearing prospects along a 10km trend, although the project has received less than 3,000m of drilling.
No exploration was undertaken at Aurora for more than 15 years before T2 became involved. The company says the newly observed sulphides, which are associated with arsenopyrite and pyrite, warrant drill testing as part of its 2026 program.
