Power Nickel Lion Zone

Summer of 2024 ‘epic’ for Power Nickel

“The summer of 2024 will be remembered as an epic one regarding the ongoing discovery of the Lion Zone.”

This is the sentiment of Power Nickel (TSX-V:PNPN) CEO Terry Lynch after receiving the third set of assay results from two additional holes at the polymetallic Lion Zone discovery in Canada.

“The westward expansion has continued to produce some fantastic results. Following up 32m of almost 7% CuEq with almost 40m of 4.19% CuEq, hole 72 provides a continuation of our track record of success,” Lynch says.

“As we push west, we are learning more about the mineralised zone and how it behaves, and our ability to track and anticipate the zone is improving. We are now routinely using downhole EM in all our new holes, giving our exploration team insight into a radius of about 200m.

“While the summer drilling program was done on a smaller 50m fan drilling approach, the fall and winter programs are successfully drilling 150 plus metres step outs with this technique. Look for more roars from our Lion Zone soon.”

The latest assays include 19.6m @ 1.27 grams per tonne gold, 20.30g/t silver, 2.53% copper, 1.01g/t palladium, 2.42g/t platinum, and 0.15% nickel and 23.55m @ 0.15g/t gold, 3.06g/t silver, 0.60% copper, 0.02g/t palladium, 0.13g/t platinum and 0.11% nickel.

Power Nickel says the two drills are onsite and are actively targeting expansions to the Lion Zone, which continues to expand to the west and 250m east to the discovery itself.

Samples will be expedited to the lab and results will be released imminently.

The company notes the results returned to date show the lateral continuity of the zone to the west, which has resulted in an increase in size compared to the start of the current drilling program.

Vice President Ken Williams says Power Nickel is ramping up exploration efforts using different proven geophysical and geochemical techniques and the company is actively processing the data.

“This will accelerate the expansion and discovery process, thus enabling us to step out away from the current zone with a much higher level of confidence,” Williams says.

The Lion Zone is part of the company’s flagship Nisk Project, which hosts a current resource of 7.1 million tonnes @ 1.13% nickel equivalent comprising multiple 10m-plus zones with copper up to 8% platinum group metals of over 22g/t, gold of over 1.6g/t, and silver in excess of 69g/t.

Power Nickel is a Canadian junior explorer focused on discovering and developing projects prospective for nickel, copper, platinum group metals, gold, and silver.
