OD6 Metals (ASX:OD6) has found ‘high-grade’ mineralisation at its Quinn Fluorspar Project in Nevada, US.
Initial channel samples from the Mammoth prospect returned “continuous” and “high-grade” fluorspar mineralisation of 12 metres at 40.8% of calcium fluoride.
OD6 believes these “reliable” and “consistent” assay results from across the exposed outcrop show that the project potentially has “global significance”.
“An average grade of over 40% calcium fluoride across 12 metres of outcropping breccia fluorspar places this system as one the higher-grade fluorspar deposits globally,” Managing Director Brett Hazelden says.
“With field programs now underway we look forward to further sampling results, detailed mapping, and drill targeting across the suite of identified fluorspar occurrences.”
The company now plans to conduct detailed geological and structural mapping, soil geochemistry programs, drill targeting, maiden drilling permitting, and metallurgical test work planning.
