Strategic advisor to support Critical One’s US partnerships

Critical One Energy (CSE:CRTL) has appointed Charles Flynn to its strategic advisory board, effective immediately, to support the company’s US strategic engagement, government, and defence-related relationship development.

Flynn retired from the US Army in November 2024 after 39 years of distinguished service. Most recently, he served as Commanding General of US Army Pacific, where he led the Army’s largest service component command and helped strengthen US strategic engagement across the Indo-Pacific.

The appointment reflects Critical One’s focus on building a high-calibre advisory platform as it advances its critical minerals strategy and pursues long-term relationships across government, industry, and capital markets in support of North American supply chain security.

CEO Duane Parnham says Flynn brings rare leadership experience across national security, defence operations, and long-term supply chain planning.

“As we move into drilling at our Howells Lake Project, General Flynn’s experience allows us to advance government engagement and defence-sector visibility alongside the exploration work,” Parnham says.

“Building those relationships now is how we believe serious critical minerals projects are positioned for long-term success.”

Accelerating exploration at Howells Lake

The Howells Lake Project is considered prospective for antimony and gold, located 120km west of the Ring of Fire access corridor in Ontario, Canada. The Ring of Fire is a mineral-rich crescent-shaped geographical region, covering 5,000km2

Most discoveries found in the region are considered prospective for chromite, nickel, copper, platinum group elements, gold, zinc, and palladium.

Earlier this year, Critical One received approval from the Ontario Government for initial funding under the Junior Exploration Program to support exploration at Howells Lake.

As Mining.com.au reported, the funding enables Critical One to accelerate upcoming drilling while also ensuring responsible exploration that prioritises community engagement and ecological stewardship.

The company also signed an exploration agreement with Eabametoong First Nation, amid starting a phase one drilling program at the Howells Lake Project in March this year.

Both parties established a collaborative framework, which Critical One says underscores its commitment to building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.

The drilling program is designed to test high-priority targets, confirm and expand upon historical ‘high-grade’ antimony and gold intersections, as well as gather data to support future resource delineation and development efforts.

Howells Lake represents one of Canada’s largest-known undeveloped antimony systems, with a historical resource of 1.7 million tonnes @ 1.4% antimony with associated gold mineralisation.

Critical One Energy is a Canadian critical minerals explorer focused on advancing one of North America’s ‘largest undeveloped’ antimony-gold deposits.
