Diversified industrial services company SRG Global (ASX:SRG) has secured multiple new infrastructure contracts valued at $50 million within Western Australia’s resources sector.
The company says the contracts include supplying its Asset Care non-destructive testing, condition monitoring, and inspection services for mining giant BHP’s (ASX:BHP) iron ore business across all Western Australia-based iron ore mine site, rail, road, and port infrastructure.
SRG notes other contracts include conducting specialist earthworks, mechanical, electrical, and HDPE lining for BHP Nickel West, construction of a tailings storage facility at Northern Star Resources (ASX:NST) Gidji mine site, and enabling of works (including earthworks and civil construction) of the laydown area in order to facilitate the delivery of Trains 3 and 4 for Albemarle Lithium (NYSE:ALB) at its Kemerton Lithium Processing Plant.
The final contract awarded includes SRG conducting an aviation infrastructure upgrade to the Tropicana aerodrome in the Goldfields region of Western Australia for AngloGold Ashanti Australia (ASX:AGG).
The company also notes its contract with BHP Iron Ore represents the first contract for its Asset Care business under SRG Global ownership. SRG acquired the business following it entering into a binding agreement with ALS Industrial Holdings, a subsidiary of ALS (ASX:ALQ), in which it had to complete a payment of $80 million, as announced by the company earlier this month.
In addition, the delivery of these new contracts brings the company’s new contract wins since the start of FY23 to $960 million.
With the new contracts secured, SRG Global announces 3 of the 5 contracts have begun, with the remaining 2 expected to begin this month. All contracts are scheduled for completion within the next 8 months with the exception of BHP Iron Ore, which represents a 2-year contract extension.
