SRG Global awarded 2 contracts valued at $220 million from Northern Star Resources

Australian diversified industrial services company SRG Global (ASX:SRG) has secured 2 ‘significant’ contracts valued at $220 million with ‘global-scale’ Australian gold producer Northern Star Resources (ASX:NST).

The company says the first contract will provide specialist drilling and blast services, explosives management, and grade control drilling over a 5-year term at Northern Stars Bronzewing gold operations in Western Australia (WA).

SRG adds that the second contract represents a 2-year extension to the initial 5-year contract awarded by Northern Star, which commenced in April 2020. This contract was signed between both parties and required SRG to undertake grade control drilling, explosives management, and specialist and blast services at the Thunderbox and Carosue Dam gold operations, which are also located in WA.

Speaking on the contracts, SRG Global Managing Director David Macgeorge says: “SRG is extremely pleased to have secured both the new five-year contract at Bronzewing and the two-year contract extensions at Thunderbox at Carosue Dam.

“SRG is extremely pleased to have secured both the new five-year contract at Bronzewing and the two-year contract extensions at Thunderbox at Carosue Dam”

I am very proud of our Mining Services team for their hard work supporting Northern Star’s operations at the Kalgoorlie Super Pit, Thunderbox, Carosue Dam and now the Bronzewing gold operations in WA.”

The company also notes these contracts have been awarded following the completion of a strategic acquisition between SRG and Queensland-based engineered products business Bartek for a value of $2.6 million, as reported by SRG in December 2022.

SRG stated at the time the acquisition of Bartek would ‘significantly’ expand the product range of the company’s engineered products business, and would also enhance its position as a leading rebar coupler supplier to infrastructure and building sectors.

SRG Global is an Australian engineering and construction company focused on bringing an engineering mindset to deliver critical services for major industries across the entire asset lifecycle of engineer, construct, and sustain. The company currently boasts over 2,600 employees across 3 operating segments of asset maintenance, mining services, and engineering and construction.
