SQX Resources’ (ASX:SQX) subsidiary AM6 has received approval from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to begin its maiden drilling campaign at the Red Bird Gold Project in Arizona, US.
The notice of intent from the BLM marks the final regulatory permits required for drilling. AM6 has authorised an immediate start of road and drill pad construction.
AM6 will begin a 2,500m reverse circulation drilling campaign this month, targeting known gold mineralisation while also testing for extensions at depth and along strike, contracting Midnight Sun Drilling to execute the drilling campaign.
Executive Chairman Patric Glovac says the receipt of a drilling permit from the Bureau of Land Management marks a “transformative moment for SQX” through its 80% interest in AM6.

“The recent discovery of coarse gold at surface has added a significant layer of excitement to this program, as it visually validates the presence of high-grade structures within the broader mineralised system,” Glovac says.
“Our strategy through investment in AM6 is clear – we are hunting for a large-scale, bulk-tonnage gold system in Arizona, one of the world’s most prolific mining jurisdictions.
“With drilling and further systematic underground sampling starting this month, we expect a steady flow of news as AM6 works towards its goal of defining a maiden JORC resource.”
