SPC Nickel ‘wastes no time’ at Muskox

SPC Nickel (TSX-V:SPC) CEO Grant Mourre says the company is wasting no time following its most recent capital raise to advance the Muskox Project in Canada as the group completes its field-focused program.

The program complements a recent property-wide mobile magnetotellurics (MT) electromagnetic geophysical survey and is designed to further refine priority drill targets on the underexplored copper-nickel-platinum group metals system.

Geophysical data was collected from the mobileMT survey to help map potential conductive targets beneath the Muskox intrusion.

In preparation for this work, SPC Nickel strategically expanded its land position by staking an additional 65km2, increasing the project’s total size and further consolidating its control over the most prospective ground in the region.

Mourre adds this follow-up field program will help confirm and refine targets with surface mapping and sampling.

“Muskox has all the hallmarks of a major magmatic sulphide system,” he says.

“We are committed to unlocking its potential in a systematic manner by drawing on historical data from our proprietary database and the accumulated knowledge of multiple exploration seasons onsite.”

The efforts from the field program will enable SPC Nickel to better understand the styles and controls of mineralisation associated with the Muskox intrusion and will directly inform the next phase of exploration including drilling.

The Muskox intrusion is among one of the largest and least deformed layered mafic to ultramafic bodies in the world.

The intrusion is broadly composed of two distinct components called the main Muskox intrusion and the feeder dyke, which combined, are exposed over a length of 125km and range in width from 200 to 600m in the feeder dyke to 11km in the main body of the intrusion.

SPC Nickel is a Canadian explorer focused on polymetallic copper-nickel-platinum group metals mineralisation in Nunavut, Canada.
