SPC Nickel evaluates Lockerby East’s potential

SPC Nickel (TSX-V:SPC) has begun a 1,000m diamond drilling program at the Lockerby East Project in Ontario, Canada, aimed at evaluating the potential for a new nickel-copper-platinum group metals discovery.

The program, which represents the first modern drill testing of the deeper portions of the Lockerby East mineralised system, is designed to test a series of high-conductivity electromagnetic anomalies.

CEO Grant Mourre says given that the grade of mineralisation continues improving with depth, the proximity of the target to the past producing mine and the quality of the conductive feature, this target is “of the highest quality” for Sudbury-style massive sulphide mineralisation.

The Lockerby depth zone, located 1,500m to the east, contains an estimated 5.8 million tonnes grading at 2.36% nickel and 1.29% copper.

Lockerby East is an advanced-stage exploration asset, located 20km west of Sudbury, Ontario, Canada.

SPC Nickel is a Canadian mineral explorer focused on discovering North America’s next-generation copper-nickel projects.
