Spartan Metals (TSX-V:W) has expanded the defined mineralisation footprint at its Tungstonia claims in Nevada, US, more than 13-fold, identifying eight tungsten–silver veins across approximately 5.7km².
Recent fieldwork at the claims, part of Spartan’s wholly owned Eagle Project, has mapped the veins across an area measuring around 2.7km by 2.1km. When the company acquired Eagle in July 2025, the known mineralised area measured approximately 750m by 550m.
The eight veins have a combined exposed surface strike length of about 6.8km and range from 0.5m to 3m thick. Veins 3, 4, and 5 occur as sheets or swarms spanning widths of approximately 50–60m.
Rock chip sampling returned up to 5.18% tungsten trioxide (WO₃) from Vein 4, extending its confirmed strike length by 400m to approximately 1.1km.
Sampling at the newly identified Spartan C vein returned up to 3.67% WO₃ and 19 grams per tonne silver (Ag), while Spartan B returned up to 2.43% WO₃ and 72.5g/t Ag. Both veins have been traced over approximately 700m.
According to Spartan, rock chip samples are selective by nature and may not represent the average grade of the underlying mineralisation.
CEO Brett Marsh says the work is identifying additional structures rather than simply extending a single known vein.
“This is giving us a much clearer picture of how mineralisation is distributed across Tungstonia and reinforces the effectiveness of the exploration approach our team has taken,” Marsh says.
The company estimates around half of the Tungstonia claim block remains unexplored.
Ground geophysical surveys are nearing completion ahead of approximately 3,000m of diamond drilling scheduled to begin in early to mid-August. Spartan Metals notes the program will test the lateral and depth continuity, geometry, and relationship between the project’s vein and skarn targets.
The approximately 36.5km² Eagle Project comprises 445 unpatented lode mining claims and hosts the historical Tungstonia, Yellow Jacket, and Rees/Antelope mines.
