Skyharbour Resources’ (TSX-V:SYH) joint venture partner Denison Mines (TSX:DML) has begun a winter exploration program at the Wheeler North Project in the Athabasca Basin of northern Saskatchewan, Canada.
This winter phase of work will comprise 2,500m diamond drilling at the Fox Lake Trail target and represents the first phase of a planned 7,500m drilling program in 2026.
At Fox Lake, several conductive trends remain virtually untested along strike. The current program is designed to systematically evaluate these priority structural targets.
An additional 5,000m of drilling will be carried out at the Fork and Sphinx target areas, with the aim of following up drilling from the last few years which discovered prospective structures and uranium mineralisation at the targets.
Drilling at the Fork Zone will test the expanding structural corridor to further evaluate its mineralisation potential. Meanwhile, the Sphinx target represents a ‘compelling’ exploration opportunity which remains largely untested.
As part of the previously reported Denison transaction the Russell Lake property was reorganised into four joint ventures comprising Wheeler North, Getty East, Russell Lake, and the Wheeler River Inliers.
Each of these are strategically located in the central portion of the eastern Athabasca Basin of northern Saskatchewan, to the east of Denison’s flagship Wheeler River Project.
Skyharbour Resources is a uranium explorer and prospect generator in Canada’s Athabasca Basin. The company holds an extensive portfolio of uranium projects to capitalise on strengthening uranium market fundamentals.
